The Club.

To those who think that the club has been closed down due to unknown circumstances. Fear not cause we're not. Music Club meetings would be back to normal right after the holidays. At the meantime everbodyyyyy studaaayyyy. If you wanna release stress or anything listen to music or even better make your own music. Good luck to those who are sitting or are going to sit for their exams. Persevere through the exams and enjoy the holidays to the max. But for now just do your exams properly. Till the next update.

Our Very First Koko Meeting.

Our first meeting had their ups and downs. But nevermind, we will prevail. I repeat we most definitely will prevail. We had a so called ' illegal ' meeting in school. Hmmm. Illegal. If you must ask we were not given the greenlight to create the club so after all the hard work we've done we get nothing. All of us were angry. We brought our instruments to school. The keyboard, guitar and a microphone. Well, initially we thought we were given the greenlight to create the club. In addition to that, we took signatures from our members to show the koko teacher that we had members who want to join the club. So lets say if we don't get the approval to create the club all our hard work would be gone to waste. So i'm praying hard that the club would get the greenlight so that we can carry out our activities. I can see that a huge sum of our members are interested in learning music, this is good, really good. I bet that our Music Club can have more members than most of the clubs in La Salle.

I'm just expressing my feelings on this blog. Don't get me wrong cause we were treated in a rude manner by our koko teacher. We were scolded and called ' stupid. ' Come on who likes being called stupid ? So teacher, please give us some respect. You had our full respect but right now I really don't know what to say. So please treat us with a tad more respect. Thank You.

On Saturday, we used class 3U to have our meeting. Everything went well until our koko teacher entered the class. She started scolding and nagging. After she left we carried on with our meeting. Way Jinn our president played Apologise by One Republic and Right Now by Akon on the keyboard. So we started singing. Some of our members were actually singing. I'm really suprised =) This is a really good start for our first koko meeting. Be prepared for the next meeting cause we will be doing other activities. I also can see that some of our members are showing their passion for music which is Awesome.

First AGM of 2010

As you all know, whenever a new committee is establised a club has to organise an AGM (Annual Group Meeting) every year. So this year our very own music club had our very own first meeting in class 3A on last Friday. The attendance wasn't that good. about less that 20 people came for the meeting. This is just a minor setback, as some of our members were either not informed or couldn't make it. But nevertheless, the meeting carried on. Our very own president Chew Way Jinn who made all of this happen gave us a warm welcome =] He did the usual Committee stuff such as announcing the committee board members.

Then it was time for a talented beatboxer that goes by the name Ezra to teach us how to do the basic beats. Quoted from Ezra " You just need three sounds which is 'B' the kickdrum 'T' the highhats and 'K' the snare. " He did a beat using those three sounds which turned out to be spectacular. Everybody gave him a round of applause. For those who don't know. Ezra would be teaching those who are interested on how to beatbox. I myself would like him to teach some basics.

Shortly after Ezra's beatboxing. Our President revealed our very own club shirt. I've got to say that this shirt looks really good. Special thanks to Way Jinn, Brandon, Dean and Tevin for coming up with an incredible design. If you want to get a shirt or maybe take a look at the design you can go class 4C and talk to any of us from the Committee board.
